Diriyah Gate Development Authority Signs Cooperation Agreement With Tadweer National Environment Recycling Company

Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) has signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Tadweer National Environment Recycling Company to treat electronic and electrical waste within the authority's supervisory area in Diriyah. 
 
The memorandum, which encompasses research, implementation, operation, and management, was signed by Mr. Faisal Farooqi, Chief Operating Officer of (DGDA), and Mr. Nasser bin Mohammed Al-Dhaib, Managing Director of Tadweer. Its scope of cooperation includes the recycling and disposal of the authority's electronic waste materials through efficient, cutting-edge industry methods, conducting studies and sharing expertise regarding investment in the aforementioned fields, and exchanging all necessary data and information to achieve the above.  
      
Commenting on the memorandum, Mr. Faisal Farooqi said that it comes as part of the authority's endeavors to help create a more sustainable environment through the exchange of technical expertise and knowledge through technical and investigative studies, surveys, and workshops.  
 
He emphasized that the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, in line with Diriyah's position as Capital of Arab Culture for 2030, has set environmental sustainability as one of its primary program and project objectives. This aligns with its ambitious national strategy and the Kingdom's Vision 2030 aspirations for a prosperous economy and vibrant society. Therefore, the agreement is primarily concerned with maximizing the efficiency of its sustainable environmental and economic development efforts.  
 
Mr. Nasser Al-Dhaib also expressed the company's great pride in the agreement, noting that it will directly contribute to diversifying the Kingdom's recycling sector revenues and promote bilateral cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and expertise in the administrative, investment, and technical sectors amongst others.  
      
 
For his part, Mr. Nasser Al-Dhaib expressed the company's pride in signing the memorandum of understanding with the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, noting that it contributes to diversifying new sources of income for the recycling sector in the Kingdom, and to the circular economy, in addition to enhancing the initiative launched by His Highness the Crown Prince "The Green Saudi," that aims to shift from landfill to recycling. He added that the partnership seeks to exchange knowledge, experiences, and cooperation between both sides and benefit from their administrative, investment, and technical expertise.
