The Diriyah Gate Development Authority hosted the inauguration ceremony for the second phase of the "My School Programs" competition on Sunday, February 20, 2022, in front of Salwa Palace in the historic Al-Turaif district of Diriyah. This event was part of the activities coinciding with the Saudi Foundation Day. The competition aims to connect students with Diriyah and their Saudi history through an educational journey that explores the foundation of the Saudi state and its origins using modern technology.
This technological journey envisions a prosperous future through a series of creative challenges that will significantly impact the Kingdom's future. The competition helps hone students' talents by supporting and developing their programming skills, thereby enriching the educational community in this critical field of computer software.
The inauguration ceremony, held in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education and companies like Microsoft and Apple, included a statistical film about the competition and its success in its first phase, an overview of the inauguration competitions, a visual presentation outlining the competition's tracks, and a Microsoft film segment. The event concluded with honoring the sponsors.
The strategic partnerships in the competition's second phase allowed for the expansion of its tracks and the diversification of its challenges. The tracks are distinguished by unique features that encourage innovation and creativity in finding technical and sustainable solutions and adopting modern educational methods.
The ceremony also featured the reflection of the Foundation Day identity on the historic Salwa Palace, emphasizing the importance of the first Saudi state and Diriyah. This highlighted the meanings associated with Foundation Day, the symbolism of the Saudi state's history and identity, and the script inspired by various manuscripts from the time of the first Saudi state, showcasing the council as a sustainable model of wise leadership and an integral part of the Kingdom's identity.
