DGDA and RIPC Strengthen Partnership in Project Planning and Implementation

Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) and the Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center (RIPC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in planning and executing infrastructure projects. This partnership aims to enhance quality of life, ensure seamless integration between existing and future developments, and improve service efficiency for residents and visitors, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Mr. Jerry Inzerillo, CEO of DGDA, and Eng. Fahad bin Sulaiman Al Badah, CEO of RIPC, highlighting key areas of collaboration, including licensing and permits, oversight and inspection, data exchange, and project integration .
The agreement will increase the level of cooperation between the two entities to enhance the reliability for residents and visitors, ultimately improving overall quality of life for residents and visitors alike. This is achieved by upholding the highest standards of quality and safety in future infrastructure projects in Diriyah, while ensuring seamless integration between both parties to eliminate redundancies. Additionally, both organizations are committed to meeting the necessary requirements and standards to safeguard the quality and safety of infrastructure projects

The recently signed MoU also contributes to enhancing the urban landscape of the Diriyah project, which spans 14 square kilometers and is designed to accommodate nearly 100,000 residents. The development will feature approximately 40 globally renowned hotel and resort brands, more than 18,000 residential units inspired by traditional Najdi architecture, 9 museums, a university, and a wide range of cultural, entertainment and recreational facilities. It is expected to generate more than 178,000 direct jobs and attract approximately 50 million visits annually, solidifying its position as one of the greatest gathering places in the world and a premier global cultural and tourism destination by 2030.
This MoU is part of DGDA’s ongoing efforts to develop Diriyah into one of Saudi Arabia’s most significant historical landmarks. As the capital of the First Saudi State, Diriyah represents the Kingdom’s enduring heritage, and DGDA is dedicated to showcasing its deep-rooted history through architecture, culture, arts, and knowledge. The objective is to offer an immersive and unforgettable experience that highlights Diriyah as the Kingdom’s most important heritage and cultural destinations.

About Diriyah:
As a prominent national symbol in the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Diriyah has been associated with the first Saudi state and was founded in 1727 by Imam Muhammad bin Saud, who made Diriyah his initial power base, the first capital of government and a scientific and social center. In 2023, Diriyah Company, which is one of the major projects of the Public Investment Fund PIF, was established to develop and execute Diriyah project, aiming to make Diriyah a global destination that reflects the authentic Saudi heritage, and will allow visitors the opportunity to discover the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within an ancient Najdi atmosphere. Diriyah Company also contributes to transforming Diriyah into one of the most important heritage, cultural and entertainment destinations in the world, as it works to achieve this in its capacity as the executive body of the Diriyah project.
