DGDA inks MoU with Al-Faisal University to cooperate in Developing Human Capital and other Academic and Scientific Fields
The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al-Faisal University, a research-focused non-profit Saudi university committed to achieving high international standards, to enhance cooperation between both entities in the areas of academics, research, training, employment, and culture through collaborative efforts to develop and implement projects, initiatives, exhibitions, and events in these fields.
The MoU was signed by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al Hayaza, President of Al-Faisal University, and Mr. Jerry Inzerillo, CEO of DGDA. According to the MoU, the two parties will launch joint efforts, especially in the areas of employment, educational programs, statistics, and academic and scientific disciplines, besides organizing events, exhibitions, conferences, and volunteering and training programs.
Mr. Inzerillo expressed his happiness at the strengthening cooperation between DGDA and Al-Faisal University, indicating that the MoU will support the Authority’s efforts to attract distinguished cadres from the university’s graduates to work with DGDA and across its various projects by providing them with training and skill development opportunities. He added that the partnership would deliver the University’s expertise in the fields of academic and scientific studies and research through exhibitions and events, thereby contributing to the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 related to the localization of human cadres.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Hayaza, President of Al-Faisal University, stressed the importance of the agreement and its significant role in providing the students of Al-Faisal University with training opportunities, both in the DGDA and in its various projects, to familiarize them with the Saudi labor market and provide them with the required expertise to build their future careers. His Excellency added that the employees of the DGDA will benefit from the postgraduate programs offered by the University.
Diriyah holds a prominent place in Saudi Arabia’s history as the capital of the first Saudi state, of which today’s Kingdom is an extension. Upon completion, the Diriyah Gate project will have cultural, entertainment, commercial, hospitality, educational, institutional, and residential areas, including 38 hotels and a variety of museums and cultural institutions, in addition to the commercial markets that will be integrated with the Bujairi Terrace.
