DGDA signs MoU with King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center

The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) to establish periodic and regular cooperation, coordination, and integration between them to serve the public interest.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Talal Nabil Kansara, Director of the Strategic Department of DGDA, and Dr. Salah bin Fahd Al-Mazrou, Assistant General Supervisor of Financial and Administrative Affairs at KSRelief.

According to the MoU, the partnership includes joint projects and initiatives related to the yearly distribution of date crops from sites determined by the Authority and located within its supervisory scope, with the beneficiaries determined by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center. DGDA will undertake all works related to the preparation of the crops according to the standards set by KSRelief. Both sides will also cooperate to highlight the humanitarian and relief efforts of the Kingdom locally and internationally, in addition to utilizing their capabilities to jointly host academic and professional programs, events, and exhibitions.

Commenting on the MoU between the Authority and KSRelief, Mr. Talal Kansara stressed the importance of the partnership to the lofty humanitarian message that DGDA aims to uphold in addition to its developmental and civilizational role that reflects the inherent values of the Kingdom in line with Diriyah’s status as the capital of Arab culture for 2030. He said that DGDA’s constructive cooperation with KSRelief is based on the latter’s extensive experience in the field of relief and humanitarian work.

For his part, Dr. Salah Al-Mazrou stressed the significance of cooperation between the two sides, noting that one of the most important aspects of the collaboration is the provision of volunteering opportunities for DGDA employees and the Diriyah community across the various projects and initiatives of KSRelief. He added that the partnership would also raise awareness of the role of KSRelief and introduce Diriyah’s community to the Center’s relief and humanitarian activities in other countries, thereby encouraging their participation in the various activities, conferences, workshops, meetings, exhibitions, and events. He said that the MoU would also facilitate the exchange of information as well as relevant studies, statistics, and reports, in addition to promoting joint initiatives, programs, festivals, exhibitions, events, and related media coverage.
